Hi everyone, this post is a little bit of an update dump as we have a lot of exciting things happening at once!
First, our second Sketch ‘N Sip night is coming up next Tuesday, July 6. Meet us at Wingman Rodeo on Milpas to meet fellow artists, learn about Permatint, play games, sketch a still life, and of course sip on some drinks. Wingman has awesome chicken and vegan options. We’ll be there from 6-8 pm at least.
Second, you may have noticed some new artists featured on this site and in the zine. We are so excited that Alexis Zofia Kubicki and Geoffrey Bennett Ulrich have joined the collective. They are both multi-talented and so hardworking. Learn more about them in the artist pages. We have other new artists soon to be featured, too – stay tuned!
Third, we are now partnering with Music Alley at 423 State Street (former home of the Velvet Jones). Dark Winterfire has a show of paintings open now here, and we plan to collaborate on more shows – art and music – in the future. Find us out front selling artwork every Thursday night! We are thrilled and thankful to partner with John at Music Alley, and hope to see you there.
Finally, we are now a CA 501(c)3 nonprofit organization! It’s official, baby. We are working on the next steps for tax exempt status, a board of directors, and all that good stuff.
